If you had told me a year ago that I would be running my own dog agility training facility I would have said you needed your head examined. But several months ago I was faced with that exact scenario when one of my closest friends told me she was moving to England. At that moment I was faced with the realization of not only saying goodbye to a good friend but to decide to take over her business. I will admit I was definitely quite tentative when giving her my answer. In fact, you could say I phrased my answer as more of a question, "Um, I could take over the business?"
After that day the wheels went into motion. I started designing my logo, website, and setting up my company. Granted I am no stranger to standing up a company as my husband is an entrepreneur and we have created many companies together. Over the last few weeks, I have had a crash course in online scheduling and payments. I managed to get a decent online booking and scheduling solution that hopefully will work well for our needs. Time will tell. I plan to use this blog to highlight all things HMB Dog Sports. Highlighting students' success, milestones, and accomplishments as well as keeping everyone up to date on classes and events happening at HMB Dog Sports. I know I still have a lot to learn with regard to running a training facility but I plan to have lots of fun along the way!
